I charge $85 per hour for most activities. For first-time clients and some projects, I can offer a project cost.
Non-profit organizations receive a 20% discount (hourly or by project). For Graduate Students, I offer a 30% discount. Please see my Graduate Student page.
For hourly clients, when I have some idea of the scope of the project (particularly the number and type of questions in the survey and your desires for significance analysis and reporting), I can estimate an approximate total number of hours for the project.
I take pride in being efficient. I stop the clock when I make stupid errors. I rarely charge for email correspondence time. This is important to my clients who are relatively new to survey research and who need some explanation or education.
In projects using surveys, there are several options and some choice-points along the way where you can reduce the total project time, for instance, choosing a brief memo of significant results over a more complete report, thus readjusting the number of hours or project fee.
